Alberta Pennell Little

Alberta Pennell Stafford Little, 94, of Conover, North Carolina, went to her Heavenly home on September 12, 2025.

She was born on October 22, 1930, in Brogden, NC, to Norman Edgar and Martha Anderson Pennell.

Alberta first married Max Stafford of Princeton, NC. Together, they shared a life filled with love and raised three children. Their family grew to include two grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and a great-great-grandson.

Later in life, Alberta found love again and married Jim Little of Conover, NC.

She leaves behind one beloved son, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters, one adored great-great-grandson, and two dear sisters.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, two of her children, four sisters, and three brothers.

Alberta was a kind, loving, and deeply caring woman. She had a heart full of devotion for her family, friends, and her church. She found joy in gardening and tending to her flowers, but above all, she loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and her love for God shone through everything she did.

To know Alberta was to love her. Her family feels incredibly blessed to have had her in their lives for nearly 95 years—just shy of a month and a half from her next birthday.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, reunited with the loved ones who went before her.
