In Loving Memory of Barbara Joan Sprouse

Barbara Joan Sprouse, 84, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2026. She was born on January 10, 1942.

Barbara was a loving woman who cherished the simple blessings of life. She enjoyed playing solitaire on the computer, watching and enjoying birds, and spending time surrounded by the beauty of nature. She loved to cook and found great joy in preparing meals for the people she loved. Above all, Barbara treasured time with her family and the special moments they shared together.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Barbara loved her church family at the Church of God and found comfort, fellowship, and strength in her faith. She treasured the people she worshipped alongside and the spiritual family that became such a meaningful part of her life. Her faith in God was a source of comfort throughout her life, and her family takes comfort knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, including her mother, Willa Deem; her former husband, Marshal Dye; her son, Paul Dye; her daughter, Cindy McCauley; her grandsons, Zachary Dye and Jesse Reynolds; and her siblings, Gordon Blair, Vilot Dillon, Richard Blair, Larry Blair, and Eugene Blair.

Barbara is survived by Kenneth Dye and his wife, Janice; Steven Dye and Denise; Cathy Mays and Rick; Phillip Dye; and Jennifer Reynolds. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, along with extended family, her church family, and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Barbara will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, her enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, and her deep faith in God. The memories of her cooking, her love of nature and birds, the time spent together as a family, and the quiet moments she enjoyed playing solitaire will remain precious to those who knew and loved her.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life. Barbara’s faith has carried her home, and those who love her can hold close the hope that they will be reunited with her one day.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.

May God comfort all who mourn her and bless the many lives Barbara touched. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
