Wayne Cameron, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and faithful servant to his family and community, entered his heavenly home on November 10, 2025. Born on October 8, 1949, Wayne lived a life marked by integrity, humility, and an unwavering dedication to the people he loved. Wayne spent many years serving the City of Raleigh as a Building Inspector, where his work ethic, fairness, and meticulous care earned the respect of colleagues and citizens alike. He later became the co-owner of Victoria’s Interiors and Upholstery, a business he ran proudly alongside his beloved wife, Victoria, for more than 30 years. Together, they built not just a successful business, but a legacy of craftsmanship, customer care, and community relationships.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest L. Cameron and Virginia Dare McGhee Cameron, his spouse Shirley Cameron Perry, and his son Ronald Maltba.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Victoria Smith Cameron, who faithfully stood by his side in love and partnership. Wayne leaves behind a large and deeply cherished family, including his children, Lori Cameron Hubbard, Shirley (Denise) Cameron Pridgen, Richard Maltba, Randy Maltba, Kimberly Maltba Pasell, Kenneth Thomas, and Glenn Pleasant. He is also lovingly remembered by his 17 grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Wayne was a faithful husband and father who served and loved his children, grandchildren, and extended family completely. His life was marked by quiet strength, steady dependability, and a deep commitment to walking with integrity. He taught those around him the meaning of hard work, accountability, and love expressed through action. Whether offering guidance, lending a skilled hand, or sharing stories and laughter, Wayne brought comfort, stability, and warmth to every room he entered.
Above all, Wayne lived a life anchored in devotion—to his family, to his work, and to the values that shaped him. Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, his deep love for his bride, and the legacy of care he poured into the generations that follow him.
While he will be deeply missed, his family finds peace knowing he has been welcomed home by his Good and Faithful Father, hearing the words he lived his life to honor: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
