Betty Sue Little

Betty Sue Little, 82, of Newton, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Born in Caldwell County on January 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Howard Fulbright and Janie Fulbright.

Betty was a devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than 52 years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved volunteering in the Bible education work, teaching others about Jehovah God. She also greatly enjoyed attending spiritual meetings and programs.

Betty will be remembered by her family and friends for her kind and sweet nature, her wonderful sense of humor, and her special ability to make friends wherever she went. She had a generous heart and often made cakes or pies for those who were sick or simply because she thought someone would enjoy them. She loved cooking meals for family and friends and entertaining others.

Betty loved her flowers and enjoyed taking care of them and her yard. She also found great joy in keeping her home clean and beautiful. Cleaning was something she truly enjoyed, and it brought her a great sense of happiness and satisfaction.

For more than 30 years, Betty worked in the manufacturing of security systems. She was known for being a hardworking, dependable, and dedicated employee who took great pride in her work.

Betty was married to Earl Edward Little for 64 years. She loved her family and treasured time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and the memories they created together.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, David “Pete” Fulbright; niece, Kimberly Fulbright; and nephew, Jason Fulbright.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Earl Little; Wendy Abee (Scott); Tara Cook (John); grandchildren, Logan Cook, Breanna Abee, Trevor Abee, and Jasmine Krishnan (Praveen); great-grandchildren, Ari Krishnan and Luca Krishnan; brother, Gary Fulbright (Barbara); sister-in-law, Cindy Fulbright; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 750 21st Street Dr SE, Hickory, NC 28602.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jehovah’s Witnesses Worldwide Work.
