Billy Brooks

Billy Gene Brooks, 68, of Lincolnton passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his home. Born July 8th, 1953 he was the son of the late John and Connie Brooks. Gene was hard working but in his free time loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. Gene was a supervisor with JP Stevens for over twenty years before running his own lawn care service Brooks Landscape and Lawn Care. He was also a proud member of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Mary Brooks of the home; two sons Tim Brooks of Lincolnton and Heath Brooks of Lincolnton; two step daughters Crystal Long (Tim) of Lincolnton and Rebecca Pressley (Robin) of Lincolnton; two brothers John Brooks Jr. (Shelby) of Lincolnton and Bobby Brooks (Brenda) of Lenoir; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Connie Brooks..

His family and friends are planning a private memorial service.
