She is also survived by her sister, Lisa Bowman and husband, Bruce Bowman; her brother, Randy Warlick and wife, Lisa; her brother, Raeford Jones Warlick (Jimmy); her beloved nieces, Shannon White, Vicky Hoyt, Stephanie Wilson, Jessie Wilson, Casey Warlick, and Jessica Salmons; her nephew, Adam Bowman; as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her aunt, Susie Sipe of Maiden, NC.

Mama was so loved, and if you were ever lucky enough to meet her, you would never forget her. She was well known for her eye rolls, and they seemed to have a mind of their own, especially when you did something she didn’t want you to do. Throughout my life, I probably made more excuses for those eye rolls than anything else. I would always say, “I swear she didn’t mean it.”

I inherited those same expressive eyes from her, and now I find myself wearing sunglasses to keep from having to explain mine all the time. Mom just didn’t care what anyone thought, and that was part of what made her who she was. To know her meant knowing you always had a home with her. She loved deeply, was unapologetically herself, and left an impression that will never be forgotten.
