Christopher Allen Smyly

Christopher Allen Smyly, 59, of Neeses, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born on December 26, 1965, he was the son of Robert Allen Smyly and Virginia Prince Smyly.

Chris deeply loved his family and friends. He never met a stranger—always ready to strike up a conversation and make a new friend wherever he went. After attending college, he proudly served in the United States Navy.

He had a passion for detailing automobiles and was an excellent woodworker. His craftsmanship produced many beautiful pieces that are cherished by those who were fortunate enough to receive them.

Chris is survived by his wife, Sue Smyly of Neeses, SC; his father, Robert Allen Smyly of Ruffin, SC; his mother, Virginia Prince Smyly; his sisters, Angela Polk (Danny) and Suzanne Hutchings, both of Moncks Corner, SC; his brothers, Keith Smyly of Gaston, SC, and Cody Allen Smyly of Florence, SC; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends
