It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Henry “Buck” Sigmon, who left this world peacefully on September 10, 2024, at the age of 80. Buck was a loving and devoted man, known for his kind heart, generous spirit, joke and story telling, being the jack of all trades and unwavering dedication to his country, family and friends.
Born to the late Hazel Keller and Walter Sigmon and raised with strong values of hard work and compassion by Hazel and Marvin Keller. He carried these traits with him throughout his life, touching the hearts of many. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he impacted with his friendship. He was honored to have served his country in the U.S. Army’s 25th infantry and later retired from Mid States Mills.
Buck was preceded in death by his beloved son, Mike whom he loved deeply and missed every day. Their reunion brings comfort to those who knew the bond they shared. In addition to his son, Buck was also preceded in death by his brothers Tommy Sigmon and Neil Keller.
He leaves behind his sister Betty Verner (LaMond), countless nieces and nephews and many friends who he considered family. In addition to his loving family, Buck leaves behind his beloved dog, Ruger, who was his faithful companion through thick and thin. Ruger was always by his side, offering comfort and companionship during Buck’s final years.
In the last few years of his life, Buck was lovingly cared for by Shane and Jennifer Pitman, to whom the family extends their deepest gratitude. Their unwavering support, love, and care for Buck brought him great comfort and peace during his final years. The family will forever be grateful for their love.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the incredible team at Carolina Caring for their compassionate end-of-life care. Your kindness and dedication provided immense comfort and peace to Buck during a difficult time. We will always be grateful for your support.
A celebration of Buck’s life will be held in the Spring where friends and family can gather to remember his remarkable life and the joy he brought to those around him.
