Cynthia Ledford

Cynthia (Cindy) Greene Ledford, 64, of Hickory, NC, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2024, at AMOREM in Valdese, NC. Born July 19, 1959, she was the daughter of Charles and Peggy Greene.

Cindy loved her family and friends passionately. In fact, if Cindy ever met you, she loved you. Her kind and sweet nature knew no bounds. Known for her infectious laugh, Cindy brought joy to those fortunate enough to know her. Cindy loved the beach and looked forward every year to going until she couldn’t anymore. She loved church and attended every Sunday until 2 years ago when she was no longer able to go. Then she streamed Discovery Church and watched it every Sunday.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Richard (Rick) Ledford of the home; a son Jeremy Toney (fiancé, Alyssa Higgins) and their children Carter Toney, Ava Toney, Aubrey Higgins, Kylie Pallas and Asher Toney of Hickory: sisters Wanda Coffin (Grady), Karen Barger (Mike), Robin Powell (Mike) and sister-in-law, Kim Spann; nephews, Chuck Coffin, Michael Powell and Chad Powell.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Deitz Greene; father, Charles Lindburgh Greene; nephew, Justin Matthew Barger; mother-in-law, Delma Propst and brother-in-law, Tommy Ledford.

The funeral will be held at Refuge Fellowship Church, 2278 19th Ave. SE, Hickory, NC. at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2024. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to AMOREM, 900 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
