Cynthia Pridgen

Cynthia Lynn Pridgen, 50, of Newton, originally of Wilson passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born September 22nd, 1971 she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Sandra Corbett Pridgen. Cynthia loved reading, watching movies, cooking, and working jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed learning about Native American culture and history; but more than anything she loved her son, Jeronimo Ezekiel Leon.

In addition to her son she is survived by her brother James William Pridgen and wife Tonya and the father of her son Jorge Leon.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents Cornelius and Alberta Pridgen and John and Dorothy Corbett.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Luke's Methodist Church, 52 16th Ave NW, Hickory, NC, officiated by Pastor Monica Childers. The family will receive friends following the service.

A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Cindy's life will also take place in Wilson at a later date.
