Earl Wilson Jarrett, 90, of Vale, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House after a brief illness. Born February 8th, 1935, he was the son of the late Earnest Steele Jarrett and Nan Belle Jarrett.
A 1953 graduate of Banoak High School, Earl pursued training in TV and radio repair, a field in which he worked until his retirement. Afterward, he devoted himself to raising beef cattle, a passion he maintained until his passing. Earl was an engaged member of the agricultural community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Catawba County Farm Bureau and participating actively in the Catawba County Cattlemen's Association. A man of deep faith, Earl was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vale, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fane Jarrett; two step-children, Sandy Lusk, and Kathy Robinson, her husband, Joel, and their daughter; a sister, Colleen Raynor and her husband, Paul; two brothers, David Jarrett and his wife Barbara, and Johnny Darrell Jarrett; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also grieving is a special friend, The Reverend Al Mullin, his wife, Beverly, and their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Nan Jarrett.
The memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2700 Trinity Church Rd, Vale, NC 28168. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
