Elfriede Wilhelmine Stöcker Baya, 71, of Hickory passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born August 5th, 1951 she was the daughter of Emma Stöcker.
She is survived by her son Simon Baya (Jennifer) of Hickory; nine grandchildren Kelsey Cook (Matthew), Logan Metts, Bria Kors, Samantha Correa, Travis Baya, Aryanna Correa, Gracelyn Baya, Kobi Baya, and Adrien Baya; six great grandchildren Ava'leigh Ramero, Abigail Ramero, Weston Cook, Matilyn Cook, Quinn Metts, and Hailey Rogers; a sister Kathe Stöcker-Mcelhaney; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Lee Baya; and a great-grandson Jameson Cook.
The family is planning a memorial service that will be announced at a later date.
