Ethel Faye Davidson Carpenter

June 14, 1947 — July 29, 2025

Ethel Faye Davidson Carpenter, 78, of Hickory passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at her home. Born June 14th, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Odell Davidson and Ruby Mae Pressley Davidson. She loved God with all her heart and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. Her faith and family were the center of her life.

She is survived by two daughters Teresa Carpenter of Hickory, NC and Kim Carpenter (Eileen) of Hickory, NC; four grandchildren Alana Nelms (Nathan) of Central, SC, Brandon Nelms (Christina) and children Braxton, Teegan, and Tinslee of Hickory, NC, and Timmy Carpenter (Sarah) of Hickory, NC; Casey Carpenter (Cheyenne) and children Maddie, Emma, and Brooke of Kentucky; a brother Rocky Davidson (Sharon) of Bessemer City, NC; and special friends Daphyne and Melvin Osborne.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Carpenter; a son Doug Carpenter; two brothers Charles Davidson and Edward Davidson.

Psalm 31:24 "Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!"

A service will be held Friday August 1st, 2025 beginning at 4:00PM with receiving of friends and family beginning an hour prior at 3:00PM at New Life Baptist Church 527 N Buckoak St, Stanley, NC 28164.
