Francis "Renee" Cauble

Francis "Renee" Cauble was called home on July 4, 2026. She spent the majority of her life working in the furniture business as an upholsterer. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending days on the lake, taking beach vacations, and catching up with her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Moose-Drum; her father, Reid Clemet Drum; two brothers, Richard and Charles Drum; and her nephew, Mitchell Drum.

She is survived by her sister, Marybeth Alton, and her husband, Billy; her sister-in-law, Francis Drum; her nieces and nephews, Laura Caldwell, Mandi Wright, and Deanna and David Drum; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Gavin, Morgan, and Alton. She is also survived by her son, Chris, and his wife, Kasie; and the joys of her life in her later years, her granddaughters, Rheagan, Kennedy, and Jacquelyn Byrd.

The family would like to thank TLC (formerly known as PACE of Hickory), which facilitated her healthcare for the past ten years; the staff at Catawba Valley Medical Center, who took excellent care of her over the last month; and Carolina Caring Hospice on Robinson Road, who cared for her in her final days. A special thank you also goes to her personal caregivers over the past ten years: Sandra, Patty, Geraldine, and Destiny. We know she was in good hands.

She wished to have a private celebration of life with family and close friends at a later date.
