Grady James Shew Jr.

Grady James Shew Jr., 77, of Granite Falls, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at his home. Born October 20, 1948, he was the son of the late Grady James Shew Sr. and Dorothy Pearl Shew.

Grady was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, loved watching Westerns, and had a fondness for Crepe Myrtles.

He is survived by his children, Scotty Shew (Karen), Brandy Shew, and Shaun Shew; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored; his sisters, Tammy Lail, Cheryl Williams, Tressie Byerly, and Sandy Boone; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Shew; his two sisters, Sarah and Debbie; and his brother, Tom.

The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
