Jayden Jackson

Jayden Levon Jackson, 21, born on January 30, 2003, in Valdese, North Carolina, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Hickory, North Carolina.

Jayden was a young man of many passions and pursuits. A dedicated martial artist, he earned his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu —a testament to his discipline and perseverance. His commitment to physical fitness extended beyond personal goals; he found joy in helping others achieve their own health and wellness milestones, whether through training sessions or words of encouragement. An avid reader with a curious mind, Jayden found solace and adventure within the pages of books. He also had a deep affection for animals, especially his beloved snakes, Ferrus Manus and Saint Celestine, who brought him great companionship and pride. His love for Star Wars reflected his appreciation for epic stories of courage, loyalty, and hope.

Above all else, Jayden cherished his family. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Ragan Punch; his brother and best friend, Trevan Burgess; his grandfather, Dale Punch; his grandmother, Deborah Burgess; his grandparents, Patsy and Jimmie Jackson; his God Mother, Camilla Whistnant; his Aunts, Sally Jackson, Angie Jackson, Laurette Avery, and Ladonna Lynch; his Uncle, Dion Lynch; and his cousins, Sevanna Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, William Jackson, Christian Jackson, Whitney Jackson, Taylor Hart, Destinee Charles, Quintin Charles, Imari Littman, Aniya Bates and Amere Bates.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jamie L. Jackson. Jayden's vibrant spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing and continue to inspire strength and kindness in the lives he touched.
