Jeremy Lon Christy

Jeremy Lon Christy, of Moravian Falls, NC—formerly of Fredonia, PA, and Davidson, NC—passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 19, 2026, after bravely facing a rare and aggressive cancer.

Born on September 12, 1973, Jeremy was the son of Larry Wilcox Christy of Grove City, PA, and Judith Jones Downing of Fredonia, PA.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Kennedy Christy, and his father, Larry Wilcox Christy.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Julie Sanders Christy, of the home; his daughter, Ashley Nicole Christy, of Pittsburgh, PA; his mother, Judith Jones Downing, of Fredonia, PA; his stepmother, Sharon McGowan Christy, of Grove City, PA; his uncle, Eden Jones, of Fredonia, PA; and his aunt, Mimsi Deal, of New Castle, PA.

Jeremy built a successful career in the field of IT, where his intelligence and problemsolving abilities shone. Outside of work, he was passionate about scuba diving and became a Master Diver, treasuring his many adventures on the island of Jost Van Dyke. In 2017, Jeremy fulfilled a lifelong dream when he moved to Moravian Falls and designed—and personally helped construct—his own home, a place that brought him immense pride and peace.

A lover of music and guitars, Jeremy approached every interest with determination, skill, and natural talent that amazed those around him. He was known for his intellect, sharp wit, warm heart, and a smile that could light a room. Jeremy was always ready with a helping hand and had a gift for making others feel supported and understood.

He will forever be remembered with love by the Sanders Family, his cherished friends, and beloved “mountain family” in Brushy Mountain.

A private Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
