Johnny Lewis

John "Johnny" Wesley Lewis, 87, of Maiden passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born April 26th, 1936 he was the son of the late Boyd Lewis and Etta Lewis. He worked as a supervisor at Carolina Mills for 25 years. He loved old classic cars, playing cards, and watching WWE.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years of the home; a sister Blonnie Hollifield of Hickory, NC; three step-children Tammy Howell of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jack Lindsay (Tammy) of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Lori Lancaster of Maiden, NC; a granddaughter Christina Canipe (Brian) of Vale, NC; three grandsons Christian Perez (Ariana) of Lincolnton, NC, Shane Perez of Cherryville, NC, and Jonathan Thompson of Maiden, NC; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Ervin Lewis (Dorothy), Ray Lewis (Dare), Ralph Lewis (Betty), Arnie Lewis (Arlene), and Bill Lewis (Francis); two step-children Lisa Perez and Aaron Lindsay.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
