Joseph Howard Schraeder

Joseph Howard Schraeder, 61, of Connelly Springs, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Born October 30, 1964, he was the son of the late Joyce Robie White.

Joe enjoyed riding his Harley with friends through the mountains of North Carolina and New Hampshire. Having lived in New Hampshire before moving to North Carolina in 2021, he carried many memories and friendships with him. He took great pride in his work in carpentry and construction and was especially talented at building custom furniture with skill and care.

Joe is survived by his life partner, Rosemary Schraeder; his sister, Linda Schraeder; his nephew, Joshua Cates; along with extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends. He also leaves behind his most trusted companion, his beloved dog, Harper.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cyndi Schraeder.
