Judy Steinlin

August 30, 1941 — October 4, 2023

Judy Faye Moore Steinlin, 82, was Promoted To Glory on October 4th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Judy was born in England, AR August 30th, 1941, to parents Gilbert and Minnie Moore. She was the first of siblings Ronnie, Glenda, and Sue. As a young girl, she felt a strong desire to know God, and the purpose of her life flowed as a result. She was led into the Salvation Army ministry in 1955, serving 21 years in the Salvation Army and directed the Girls Lodge in Atlanta, GA. Judy married Roland Steinlin in 1976 and had two children, Christopher and Rebekah. Her husband said, "I dare say that even among committed Christians, characters like Judy are very rare to find. Never before in my life have I encountered so much genuine love." Together they discipled each other and their children to know the Lord and love people. Her desire to always be a tool in the hand of God led her to prison ministry, leading bible studies, and a career as a doula, empowering and nurturing women. In 1999, with strength, conviction, and grace she carried Roland's terminal cancer to his earthly end and eternal beginning while raising two kids.

Judy's compassionate heart, God-given wisdom, and intuition saw people unfiltered and created in the image of God, regardless of history. Her recorded prayers ask God to help her find the gold in everyone. Judy was an advocate for the different/unseen, whether it be her beloved special needs son or stranger turned friend. She was the free counselor, always propelled by grace and love for God's people. While she is gone from our presence, the way God touched us through her will remain.
