Kenneth Barrier

Kenneth Harold Barrier, 69, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his home. Born September 13th, 1954, in Burke County, he was the son of the late Harold Whitfield Barrier and Polly Canter Barrier. Kenneth served his community as a teacher and coach for the Burke County School System for over 33 years. He remained an active supporter of education and athletes until the time of his passing.

Kenneth is survived by three sons Christopher Harold Barrier, Scott Gregory Barrier, and Joseph Mark Barrier; a brother Wayne Mitchell Barrier; a wife Cindy Gena Pritchard; and two grandchildren Devin Lawrence Dennis and Elizabeth Gena Dennis.

A small memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church, 2239 NC 181, Morganton, NC 28655.
