Kirtikant Dalpatbhai Sony

Kirtikant Dalpatbhai Sony, 58, of Hickory, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born February 20, 1967, he was the son of Dalpatbhai Bhagu Chauhan and Maniben Chauhan. He enjoyed the simple, meaningful parts of life—spending time with a good book, finding calm through meditation, and keeping active with yoga.

He is survived by his wife, Kalpana Sony of the home; his father, Dalpatbhai Chauhan of Salisbury, NC; his brother, Harshkant Chauhan (Bhadrika) of Salisbury, NC; his sister, Jyotsna Parmar (Bharatkumar) of Charlotte, NC; his niece, Sejal Lyons (Allen) of Durham, NC; his nephews, Neel Chauhan (Harshavi) of Salisbury, NC and Kavin Parmar of Charlotte, NC; and a great-nephew, Ari Lyons of Durham, NC.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maniben Chauhan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Caring Cremations Life Celebrations and Funerals, 609 Highland Ave SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
