Laura Jean Hyler

Laura Jean Powell Hyler, 37, of Hickory passed away Friday, September 22, 2023. Born January 30th, 1986 she was the daughter of Richard Thomas Powell and Madeline Carraway Powell. Laura was outspoken, always saying what was on her mind. She was a very caring and generous person with a big heart full of love and pure intentions. She enjoyed movies and music. She loved children and always enjoyed playing with her niece and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother Madeline Anne Carraway Powell of Hickory; a sister Jennifer Allen (Paul) of Hickory; a brother Jason Powell (Kim) of Hickory; a niece Haiden Allen; two nephews Thomas Powell and Jacob Powell; an aunt Toni Benfield; a special cousin Jodie Aubuchon (Paul) and her two children Whitaker and Merrick.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Powell.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
