Linda Christopher

Linda Carol Causby Christopher, 82, of Hickory, NC passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born November 24th, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Ally Mae Louise Sparks Causby and Clifton Asbury Causby. Linda was an affectionate, dedicated, loving woman who cherished her family and was devout in her Christian faith. She was a member of Damascus Road Baptist Church, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Theology. She was born and raised in Lenoir, NC, and worked as a seamstress at Neuville Industries.

She lives on through her children George Thomas Rich Jr., daughter-in-law Melissa Rich, and Cheri Belinda Hoke; five beautiful grandchildren Melinda Buffkin, Monica Cunningham, Ashley Goble, Abigail Rich, and Ticia Goble; four great-grandchildren Caleb Oxentine, Ryleigh Cunningham, Alikai Buffkin, and Hawk Buffkin; six sisters Myrtle Greene, Diane Hamby, Sue Hollifield, Teresa Ryder, Debbie Cloer, and Meldonna Gray; along with dozens of nieces and nephews that she cherished.

She joins in heaven her husband, Glenn Christopher; parents Clifton A. Causby and Louise Sparks Causby; as well as her sisters Mary Bentley, Cliffa Jean “Kitten” Murphy, and Judy Wise; and brothers Tommy Causby, Roy Causby, and Fred Causby.

Linda’s personality brought love and joy to everyone she encountered. Her passing will be mourned by everyone who knew her.
