On July 4th, 2025, Linda Ann (Bielski) Harden was entered into eternal rest at the age of 72. She was born in Goshen, NY, on Sept. 6, 1952. She resided for most of her life on Clove Rd. in Blooming Grove, NY (the place she will always call home), then Washingtonville, NY, with a formative period of 4 years in coastal Southern California in the late 1970s.
Graduate of Washingtonville High School and Boces Vocational School, where she earned her cosmetology license. She worked for many years as a beautician at Amy’s Beauty Salon in Monroe, NY. In 2001, she purchased the business and continued operations as usual. Throughout the years, she took on numerous other part-time jobs, including bus monitor, receptionist, shoe sales, stock work, housekeeper, and probably many more.
Linda took great joy in a variety of arts and crafts; she was an avid sewing enthusiast and gardener in her younger years. She shared her love of these hobbies with her children and their friends. Often visiting their classrooms to sprout seeds and do other crafty projects. But if there was one major influence she had on her children, it was her love of classic rock music. WPDH played in every car ride and every outdoor activity and left a lasting impression on her family. “If it’s too loud, you’re too old,” she would say. She also enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, reading, and watching classic TV shows.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Charlotte Bielski; her brother, Joseph Bielski; her brother-in-law, Michael Matthews; and her uncles, Andrew Hall and Clarence Board.
Linda is survived by her aunts, Nancy Board and Dorothy Morgan; her sisters, Carol Matthews and Cindi Bielski; her brother, Scott (Dawn) Bielski; her children, Jennifer (Jonathan) McCord and William Harden; nephews, Joseph (Sara) Bielski and Scotty Bielski; her niece, Faith Matthews; one grandchild, Charlotte; and multiple cousins and second cousins. She was excited to build a relationship with her daughter, raised by another family, Virginia (Ginny) Maiorana and her children, Nicholas, Katie, Sean, and granddaughter, Olivia Rose.
Linda will be cremated, and a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, take time to do something special with an aging loved one.
