Obituary

Melissa Ann Bigas, a beloved mother, daughter, and cherished soul, passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 49.

Born on January 4, 1977, Melissa brought a light into this world that will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew and loved her. She was a woman with a beautiful smile, a contagious laugh, and a sense of humor that could bring lightness to even the heaviest moments. Whether she was flashing her signature smile and showing off her beloved gap or cracking a joke to make someone laugh, Melissa had a way of bringing warmth and joy to those around her.

Above all else, Melissa’s greatest role in life was being a mother. Her children were her heart, and she poured herself into making sure they felt loved. She gave her all to motherhood, loving her children in a way that made them feel seen, valued, and cherished. The love she gave them was one of the greatest gifts of her life, and it is a love that will never be lost. Though her time on earth has come to an end, the lessons she taught, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will live on through her children for generations to come.

Melissa leaves behind her three beloved daughters, Nakia, Harmony, and Unique, who will forever carry a piece of their mother with them. Her love will remain woven into their lives, present in their memories, reflected in their smiles, and felt in the countless ways she helped shape the women they will become.

Though her family grieves the tremendous loss of her presence here on earth, they find comfort in knowing that Melissa has been reunited in heaven with her beloved parents and her only son, Justice. What a beautiful thought it is to imagine her being welcomed into their arms, reunited with those she loved and missed, and finally at peace.

Melissa’s life was more than the years she spent on this earth. It was the laughter she brought into a room, the love she poured into her children, the smiles she shared, and the moments that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her. Her physical presence may be gone, but the love she gave will never fade.

A mother’s love does not end when her life does. It lives on in her children, in the memories they hold close, and in every piece of her that they carry forward.

Forever loved, forever missed, and reunited with those who went before her, Melissa Ann Bigas will never be forgotten.
