Michael Cliff Brown

Michael Cliff Brown, 64, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 1, 2026, at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born August 6, 1961, in Wilkes County, he was the son of the late Clifton Lytle Brown and Hazel Fletcher Burgess.

Michael was a lover of music, cars, and the outdoors. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Garcia, and her husband, Walter Garcia, along with his beloved grandchildren, Ethan Teague, Bella Garcia, Nori Garcia, and Asher Garcia, all of Hickory. He is also survived by his stepfather, Harold Burgess of Lenoir; his sisters, Barbara Holder (Wendell) of Granite Falls, Linda Rozzell (Larry) of Granite Falls, and Robin Burgess (Jeff) of Hudson; his brother, Wayne Burgess of Granite Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
