Michael Scott Fife

Michael Fife, born October 5, 1981, in Catawba County, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of those whose lives he touched.

Michael was the beloved son of Brenda Jo Fife and the late Gregory Lee Fife. He was a devoted father whose greatest pride and joy were his children: Jayden Lee Fife (23), Kadence Ann Taylor (16), and Atlee Toretto Fife (9). He is also survived by his stepmother, Kim Dobson, and his brother, Dustin Lawing.

A talented mechanic by trade, Michael had a lifelong passion for working on cars. Whether he was repairing an engine, helping a friend with a vehicle, or sharing his knowledge with others, he found joy in getting his hands dirty and solving problems. His skills and willingness to help made him someone people could always count on.

More than anything, Michael loved his family. He cherished his mother, adored his children, and took pride in being present in their lives. Those who knew him will remember his infectious sense of humor, his goofy personality, and his ability to make people laugh even during difficult times.

Michael was known by many and loved by even more. His generous spirit, kind heart, and willingness to give to others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or bring a smile to someone’s face.

Though his time with us was far too short, Michael’s legacy lives on through the countless memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by his presence.
