Nina Luella Bennett

Nina Luella Bennett, 59, of Conover, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born August 31st, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Harry Milton Bennett and Geneva Ida Bennett.

Nina was a loving, funny, and warm-hearted woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness and generous spirit. She had a deep love for her family and found joy in the simple things—decorating for the holidays, cooking for those she loved, doing word searches, and coloring. She especially adored her dog, Bandit.

She is survived by her son, Caleb Ward; her three sisters, Toni Bennett, Tina Bennett, and Brenda Matthews; her brother, Jimmy Smith; her long-time partner, Keith Herman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Chelsea Renee Ward; her son, Eric Milton Bennett; and her sister, Janice Lida Bennett.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel, 4081 Startown Road, Newton, NC, 28658. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service beginning at 3:00 PM in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
