Nina Faye Huss

Nina Faye Parker Huss, 90, of Catawba passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born August 20th, 1934, she was the daughter of Millard Filmore Parker and Ada Alice Parker.

Nina was known for her deep love of dogs and her unwavering belief in the power of laughter. She always taught that no matter how hard life gets, you must laugh—and she lived by the motto that each day is a gift. Her humor and perspective were a light to all who knew her. She truly believed that laughter would get you through anything.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Knight (Tim) of Catawba; her grandson, Quintin Knight of Lenoir; her sister, Ella Mae Lewis; her brother, Edgar "Tib" Parker; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her seven siblings.

A Celebration of Life is planned for 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Hickory, 726 1st Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601. The family will receive friends from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM, before the service.
