Onofre De La Cruz

Onofre De la Cruz De la Cruz, 52, of Conover passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born June 12th, 1971 he was the son of Alejandro De la Cruz Zavala and Leonila De la Cruz Sánchez. He enjoyed being around his friends, coaching and playing soccer.

He is survived by his father Alejandro De la Cruz Zavala of Veracruz, Mexico; a sister Patricia De la Cruz De la Cruz of Conover, NC and nephews Alex Salas and Lily Salas; a brother Aurelio De la Cruz De la Cruz of DF, Mexico and nephews Joselin De la Cruz Zamorano and César Aurelio De la Cruz Zamorano; a sister Veronica De la Cruz De la Cruz of Veracruz, Mexico and nephews Set Moab Cruz De la Cruz, Maximino Cruz De la Cruz, and Alejandro Cruz De la Cruz; and a brother Noe De la Cruz De la Cruz of DF, Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his mother Leonila De la Cruz Sánchez; and two nephews Jasmin De la Cruz Suastegui and Cithlally De la Cruz Suastegui.

There will be a Soccer Tournament and Memorial in his honor on Sunday June 25, 2023 with the Soccer Tournament beginning at 9:00 AM and the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM both at 1901 NW Blvd Unit G, Newton, NC 28658.
