Pamela Trivett

July 3, 1950 — September 30, 2024

Pamela K. Trivett, 74, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family.

Pam was born July 3, 1950, to the late Coy F. and Hazel McKinney in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. She married Paul Trivett in 1991 and they made Hickory their home until Paul’s death in 2022.

Pam was an accomplished and creative seamstress. She loved working in her flowerbeds and even found pleasure in pulling weeds. Pam was especially fond of the lovely hummingbirds that visited her beautiful garden. She had a heart of gold, was warm and hospitable, never knew a stranger, and always made time to listen to someone’s story. Pam loved all holidays, making her home warm and festive with decorations for each season. She was especially proud of her extended snowmen collection. It was not unusual to find her sporting a fun costume to represent a holiday.

Pam loved spending time with her family, whether around a good meal, a fun outing, or just cutting up and enjoying time together. She was proud of her children and her grandchildren, along with her extended family throughout the area. Pam had a lifelong strong bond with her sister Donna. They were kindred spirits at heart.

She was attending Open Door Bible Church and loved God.

Pam is survived by her son Brian Bloom (Michelle), her daughter Wendy Wilcox, her step-son Eric Trivett, six grandchildren Zachery, Austin, Drake, Stephanie, Jordan, and Samatha, brother Kenny McKinney (Polly), sister Donna Lominac, sister-in-law Phayon McKinney, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Trivett, her brother Richard McKinney, and her brother-in-law Ernest Lominac.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
