Patrick Michael Robbins

Aug 27, 1983 — Dec 15, 2025

Patrick Michael Robbins, age 42, of Hickory, NC, passed away on December 15, 2025, after a long and difficult battle with addiction.

Patrick was deeply loved and is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jan and Jeffrey Vierra; his Great Aunt, Maxine Loftis; his oldest daughter, Alexis Michelle Robbins; his son, Avery Michael Robbins; and his youngest daughter, Taylor MaKaylyn Robbins. He was preceded in death by his father, John Michael Robbins; and his Grandmother, Doris Phillips.

Patrick was incredibly intelligent, endlessly funny, and had a rare gift for conversation; he could talk to absolutely anyone. His quick wit, sharp mind, and unique sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether through laughter, storytelling, or simple conversation, Patrick had a way of connecting with people that felt genuine and memorable.

Above all else, Patrick was a father. He was deeply proud of his three children, and his love for them remained constant, even during the hardest moments. Being his child meant knowing his humor, his intelligence, and the parts of his heart that were filled with love and hope.

Addiction was a part of Patrick’s story, a shadow that often hid the good in him and stole time that should have been his. While it ultimately took his life, it does not define him. He was more than his struggles. He was a son, a father, a friend, and a man whose life mattered.

We are heartbroken that he could not find the peace he sought here on earth, but we take comfort in knowing he is finally at rest, free from the battles he fought for so long.

By sharing this part of his journey, the family hopes that anyone who is struggling can remember this: you are still loved, you still matter, you are not alone, and that there is always hope for a different tomorrow.

Patrick will be deeply missed and forever loved.
