Rafael Pastrana Díaz

Rafael Pastrana Díaz, 68, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born September 26, 1956, he was the son of the late Rafael A. Pastrana Pérez and Carmen M. Díaz Negron.

Rafael was a man whose kindness, humility, and warm welcome touched everyone he met, but above all, he was a devoted son of God. Though our hearts ache with his passing, we find peace in knowing he is now dancing in the glory of the Lord.

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” – John 11:25

He is survived by his beloved wife, Antonia O'Ferrall; his mother, Carmen M. Díaz Negron; and his cherished family. He was preceded in death by his father, Rafael A. Pastrana Pérez. Rafael’s life was a testament to faith, love, and service, and his memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew him.

Rafael Pastrana Díaz, de 68 años, de Hickory, falleció inesperadamente el jueves 7 de agosto de 2025 en el Frye Regional Medical Center. Nació el 26 de septiembre de 1956, hijo del fallecido Rafael A. Pastrana Pérez y de Carmen M. Díaz Negrón.

Rafael fue un hombre cuya bondad, humildad y cálida bienvenida tocaron a todos los que lo conocieron, pero, sobre todo, fue un hijo devoto de Dios. Aunque nuestros corazones sufren por su partida, encontramos paz al saber que ahora está danzando en la gloria del Señor.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Antonia O’Ferrall; su madre, Carmen M. Díaz Negrón; y su querida familia. Le precedió en la muerte su padre, Rafael A. Pastrana Pérez. La vida de Rafael fue un testimonio de fe, amor y servicio, y su recuerdo será siempre una bendición para todos los que lo conocieron.
