Ronald Beitzel

Ronald George Beitzel, 78, of Hickory passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born February 22nd, 1946, he was the son of the late Clayton George Beitzel and Betty Jane Dixon Beitzel. Ronald was known for his devotion to his family; never passing on an opportunity to visit family and friends. He had a passion for traveling and playing cards. An enthusiast of good food, Ronald enjoyed dining out and showcasing his culinary skills in the kitchen, where he took charge and delighted everyone with his delicious meals. He was an animal lover, especially when it came to cats. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Ripley Beitzel; two daughters Lori Beitzel and Michelle Diaz Nieves and husband Thomas Nieves; and a sister Virginia Cox.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Thomas Beitzel.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning one hour before the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home, 4081 Startown Road, Newton, NC 28658.
