Ronnie Dale Bonds, 64, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born August 12th, 1959 he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Bonds and Icie Mae Bonds.
Ronnie was a man of many passions. He enjoyed spending his days fishing at the local lake, exploring flea markets for hidden treasures, and regaling anyone who would listen with his captivating stories. He was an avid hunter and loved wrestling, always up for a new adventure or challenge. Known for his big heart and generosity, Ronnie would never hesitate to offer a helping hand or a place to stay to anyone in need. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether he was taking them fishing under the stars or enjoying a picnic in the park, his grandkids were his world. He also had a deep love for his dogs, Aubrey, Snowball, and Shelby, who were constant companions. He found solace in nature and cherished the time spent under the stars by a crackling campfire. Ronnie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His larger-than-life personality, warm smile, and kind spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Sueanna Bonds; two daughters Jessica Bonds of Shelby and Sarah Peck (David) of Hickory; one son Henry Bonds (Shannon) of Connelly Springs; thirteen grandchildren Kylie Long, Austin Long, Chad Cline, Lealand Cline, Alexis Cline, Arielle Cline, Remmington Cline, Seth Cline, River Cline, Elijah Bradshaw, Hannah Bonds, Brittany Bonds, and James Bonds; two sisters Pamela Murphy (Sherman) of Taylorsville and Susie Painter (Gary) of Sophia, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters Patricia Murdock, Bonnie Cook, Kathy Cook; three brothers George "Red" McGraw, Henry "Ricky" Bonds, Reginald "Reggie" Bonds; and a brother-in-law and special friend Willy Cook.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church, 5096 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681, with Pastor Phillip Coffey officiating.
