Russell Paul McCall

Russell Paul McCall, 65, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Born March 10th, 1960, he was the son of Roger Dale McCall and Patsy Pruitt.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber Henson and her children; his mother, Patsy Smart Pruitt; his wife, Bobbie Jean McCall and her children; his brothers, Roger Dale McCall and his son, Jonathan McCall, William Durant “Billy” McCall (Janet) and his nephew, Derek McCall (Kelli) and their children; and his sister, Faye McCall Jones (Martin Lee) and their children, Joseph Jones (Pachea) and Ashley Jones Willix (Richard) and their children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Dale McCall, Sr.

Russell was a part of the Hickory homeless community for decades, and many within that community loved him. He had recently found comfort in his mother’s home and was rebuilding relationships that had once been lost. His family is so thankful for the last two years of being able to rebuild lost time. They pray that every individual experiencing homelessness will have the opportunity to reconnect with their families before tragedy strikes.
