Sampson Conway

Sampson Lee Conway, 69, of Asheville passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at his home. Born December 6th, 1954 he was the son of the late John H. Conway and Cathleen Harry Conway.

He is survived by his daughter Erica Conway of Blythewood, SC; two sons Shantatu Conway of Blythewood, SC and Markos Conway of Blythewood, SC; five grandchildren Tay'shan Lee Nowlan-Conway, Pre'reggis Conway, Katrell Nowlan-Conway, Jaxon Middleton, Gerian Greenwade, and Calie Conway; a brother Herwett Conway Sr. (Vanessa) of Charlotte, NC; nine nieces Kimberly Williams of New York, NY, Lila Williams of New York, NY, Kendell and Ernestine Serrette of New York, NY, Tonja William of Tampa, FL, Towanda Conway of Charlotte, NC, Tanya Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Lynetta Conway of Charlotte, NC, Zuleha Conway of Charlotte, NC, Ayondela Conway of Charlotte, NC; seven nephews Norman Williams Jr. (Melvina) of New York, NY, Douglas Williams (Dina) of Orlando, FL, Daryl Williams of New York, NY, Tshombe Williams of New York, NY, Johnny Wesley Howard Jr. of New York, NY, Untray Conway of Texas, Herwitt Edward Conway Jr., Alfred Williams; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Ernestine Conway, Ruby Williams, and Patricia Walker; a nephew Alfred Williams; and a niece Deborah Williams.
