Sandra Benge

Sandra Lynn Benge, 60, of Hickory passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born in Michigan on January 16th, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Roby Thomas Collins and Caroline Theresa Collins. She moved to Tennessee during her childhood and then settled in Hickory, NC with her family. Sandy was the first to graduate college obtaining her first degree in Computer Sciences and then a Bachelors in Nursing. She worked at Riddle Center for Developmentally Disabled Adults in her final years of Nursing. Our comfort comes in knowing her faith and belief that she is now reunited with her son and our parents.

She is survived by her husband Randy Benge; a son Matthew Benge; a grandson Vincent Benge; and six sisters Pamela Collins, Cheryl De Almeida (Jooa), Kathy Hussey, Mary Collins, Angie Hardison (Tim) and Cherice Collins; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she is proceeded in death by her beloved son Randy Benge Jr.

There will be a Memorial Service held in Tennessee that will be announced at a later time.

Sandra would want you to always remember this verse: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.."
