Scott Royal

Scott Curtis Royal, 65, currently of Denver and formerly of Charlotte and Pineville, NC, and Houston, TX, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. Born December 30, 1959, in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of Raymond Henderson Royal Jr. and Kathleen Royal.

Scott worked as a flooring installer for SCR Flooring. He enjoyed fixing just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand. Known for his kind heart, he loved helping others in any way he could. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott is survived by Janet Mertz Royal of Houston, TX, and Donna Royal of Murrell's Inlet, SC; his two children, Sean Royal (Jill Costa Royal) of Houston, TX and Alisha Royal (Robert McLaughlin) of Maxton, NC; his three brothers, Randy Royal of Boone, NC, Craig Royal (Lisa Helms) of Pineville, NC, and David Royal of California; his two aunts, Janice Foster of Trinity, NC, and Selena Daughtry of Concord, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Royal.

A celebration of Scott's life will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Pine Island Country Club, 1701 Stoney Ridge Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28214. All family and friends welcome.
