Shirley Louise Dula

Shirley L. Woods Dula, born on October 19, 1959, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at 3:45 PM. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, strength, and kindness touched every life she encountered.

Shirley cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Dula, and her beloved children, Catoura Woods, Andririan Woods, Latrina Woods, and Latoya Woods. She was a proud grandmother to Datavis Woods, Destiny Woods, Alexis Streeter, Niashaa Woods, Anika Woods, Nitaya Woods, and Zyonah Woods, and she was blessed with ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Berdie May Woods, born October 11, 1942, who passed away in April 2017. Shirley carried her mother’s love and teachings with her throughout her life.

Those who knew Shirley will remember her for the beautiful things she loved: her favorite color purple, her fondness for elephants, her sparkling jewelry, and her deep connection to gospel music. Each of these reflected her spirit - vibrant, gentle, faithful, and full of grace.

Shirley’s heart was large enough to hold not only her family but also her cherished friends. Close friends Sue, Ramona, and Charlotte remained special parts of her life, sharing years of laughter, love, and memories.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, her dear friends, and all who were blessed to have known her. Shirley will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, her compassion, and the love she gave so freely
