Teresea Joann Abernethy

Teresa Joann Abernethy, 55, of Lincolnton passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025. Born February 12th, 1970, she was the daughter of the late William Kenneth Abernethy and Tonda Jane Baker.

She is survived by her daughter, Casey Smith of Lincolnton; her two sons, Billy Smith Jr. (Sherrielynn) of Lincolnton and Kenneth Smith of Lincolnton; three sisters, Tammy Grant of Lincolnton, Tabitha Moore of Lincolnton, and Pauline Abernethy; six granchildren, Kendra Smith, Kayla Hedrick, Dawn Hedrick, Chianne Smith, Eric Smith, and Dixie Smith; one great-grandchild, James Smith; and her life partner, Danny Mills of Lincolnton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Torwey Dellinger.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Roseland Baptist Church, 1127 Rosehill Dr., Lincolnton, NC 28092. Pastor Jeremy Teague will be officiating.
