Timmie Townsend

Timmie (Tim) Townsend, 62, of Hickory, passed away Monday May 8, 2023. Born July 15, 1960 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Robert Townsend and Barbara Sipe Townsend.

He was a graduate of St. Stephens High School and was a very caring and compassionate person, friend, and Dad to all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Mathew Townsend of Hickory; a sister Amanda Wilson of Texas; a brother Bill Bedington of Conover; two nieces Tya Walls and Chrissy Walls; a nephew Michael Townsend; a first cousin Johnny Townsend of Hickory and numerous other cousins that he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Caring Cremations, 609 Highland Ave. SE Hickory, NC 28602.

In lieu of flowers, Mathew has requested the you send a memory of your funniest or fondest memory of Tim or you can give a donation to the American Red Cross .
