Timothy Lail

Timothy Glenn Lail, 64, of Hickory passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home. Born June 22nd, 1960 he was the son of the late Harold Glenn Lail and Ruby Sue Hicks. He loved life’s simple joys. Fishing was one of his favorite ways to relax, and he enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was gardening, mowing the lawn, or helping neighbors with theirs. He liked to golf and tinker with cars, always taking pride in his blue Nissan truck. He had a big heart and was always ready to lend a hand. If someone needed help, he was there, never saying no. He was funny and loved to joke around, always smiling and laughing. His catchphrase, "I gotta beep, I gotta go," showed his upbeat, on-the-go personality. He enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with his dog, Diamond, who was like family to him. He lived in the moment and made others feel cared for and appreciated. His kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his daughter Felicia Lail of Claremont; three grandchildren Gregory Lail of Virginia, Breanna Inman of Hickory, and Ethan Lail of Newton; three great-grandchildren Layden Inman, Carter Austin, and Jada Inman; a sister Sherry Lail Shook and husband Curtis of Maiden; a brother Harold Wayne Lail of Lincolnton; and four nieces Mylenda Shook of Maiden, Cassey Shook of Maiden, Dana Lail of Lexington, and Gwynn Lail of Lenior.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother Carrie Bell Hefner Lail.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Timothy from 3:00PM to 4:00PM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Caring Cremations, 609 Highland Ave SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
