Tommy Morris

Tommy Lynn Morris, 63, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on October 4th, 2023. He passed away peacefully at Frye Regional Medical Center surrounded by loving family.

Tommy was born on January 21st, 1960 in St. Mary’s County, Maryland to Glenda Riddle Hollifield and the late Talmadge West Morris. In addition to his Father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Ruth Locklear.

A man of many talents, Tommy charmed those around him with his charismatic nature and compassionate soul. He was an exceptional entertainer and performer, playing guitar and singing for many throughout the years. He brought joy to his family and friends through his life-long love of music. Tommy was also a gifted artist who loved to paint, draw, and bring characters to life.

He will be remembered always for his welcoming heart and generous love he held for his Lord, his family, his friends, and all animals. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his Mother, Glenda Riddle Hollifield, of Hickory NC; his daughter, Elysia Marie Iwao, of Herrin IL; his brother, Gregory Lee Morris, of Hickory NC; his sisters, Kimberly Dawn Clark, Shelia Marie Kirby, and Tammy Jean Ford, all of Hickory NC; and many dearly beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Caring Cremations. Following the visitation there will be a brief time for anyone to share memories about Tommy.
