William Wohlenhaus

William Jerome Wohlenhaus passed away at his home in Hickory, NC on Tuesday, July 26th, 2022. He was born December 27th, 1935 in Browns Valley, Minnesota. Son of Robert J. Wohlenhaus and Avis Fern Wohlenhaus (Nee Walker). Brother of Betty Roberts (Nee Wohlenhaus) and Bobby Wohlenhaus.
He married the love of his life Helen Ann "Annie" Swearingen in 1963. She preceded him in death in 1985. He married Barbara Ellen Peace in 1992 and the two shared a happy life together until her passing in 2016.
A long-time banker, he and his family lived in Minnesota and moved to Arizona in 1973. He spent most of his life in Arizona and several years in Southern California. He had a love of the ocean and Tall ships and made a hobby of building elaborate model Tall ships. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
He is survived by his children Kim and Bill Wohlenhaus, their spouses Jami and Christine, and grandchildren Scott, Kaylee, Sarah, Chance and Lucy. We loved him very much.
